If you're looking to buy a new 30mm spindle crank, you need to be aware that not all 30mm spindle cranks will fit in all bottom bracket standards. As with all things regarding modern bicycle components, what you don't know can cause you grief. 30mm spindles have been offered in varying lengths since first appearing on the scene. There are some short spindle versions still around and still in production, so be advised that these will fit in a very narrow class of bottom bracket standard, as explained in this video. BBInfinite is here to solve the bottom bracket creaking and squeaking plaguing your ride. BBInfinite doesn't simply fix a bottom bracket creak, we deliver the highest spin performance of any bottom bracket system out there.
So, you scored that sweet PressFit 30 BB30 crank off Ebay or some other site and you finally got it in your hands, and you go to put it in your bottom bracket, and it doesn't fit. Why? Well let me come and show you right here- here's the problem, see how short that is? This- this right here has become pretty much the standard spindle. It's a little bit longer than a 386Evo and is sitting right about 100 - almost 100 now you got to take this little sucker off right here if it'll come off and measure it and it's sitting right at about 106. see that look at this guy right here this little guy pull that ring off right there it's nowhere near long enough and here's the problem you want to go stick it in a BSA. This is 68mm with two threaded cups in there- oops got a little problem right there. Right there was a bearing - there it would be sitting flush with it whereas, see how this one is- look at that you'd have plenty of room to get the other crank arm on here with some spacers and you'd be good to go so if you buy one of these shorties rather than tell you all the things it won't fit in which is most things I'll tell you what it will fit in it will fit in BB30 which is right here a regular BB30 by 68 millimeter which because it's Specialized it's actually called OSBB which is BB30 by another name 42x68 and it will also fit in PressFit30 which is once again a 46mm by the magic number 68 and it will also fit in the older Specialized OSBB press fit bikes which are 46x61. not to be confused with Specialized OSBB which is 42x68. once again if it's under 68 it'll fit just barely
