Co-founders Wes Wolfenbarger and Gary Mailhiot created BBInfinite through a Kickstarter campaign in 2014. It all began when Gary bought a Centro1 SR and couldn’t believe his $4,000 frameset came with a bag of plastic doughnuts for adapting his Record UltraTorque crank. The two sat down, discussed the design, created a CAD rendering and, the next day, created a prototype old-school style on a hand lathe.
Word spread among their friends and soon Wes and Gary were designing BBInfinite modules for a variety of bikes – even for strangers from across the country. A testing and development phase led to the creation of a new standard in the industry. They were only missing one thing – cash! One successful Kickstarter campaign later, BBInfinite was officially launched.
We want to thank everyone who supported us, from our wives and friends to those strangers all over the world. Thanks to all of you who share our need for that perfect Sunday group-ride sprint, that moment of intense exhilaration conquering the climb, or the muddy, nasty, man-that-was-awesome downhill bomb session that ends with a cold beer with friends. Your bicycle is a place of passion, joy and enlightenment. We make it faster, quieter and stronger so you can put everything out of your mind and just go ride.
