you can't talk about Cervélo without talking about bb right what is bb right well let's talk about this come on in here bb right is 79 millimeters wide it is 46 millimeters in diameter if you want to take a look in here right there and as you can see there's that continuous tube all the way through all right that's what it is oh and by the way look at this asymmetry here's like the most important thing see how it looks thick like really thick you can tell the difference between these two right there just how much thinner that is that's because this system is offset to the left okay that's why the bottom brackets are going to look like like this it is going to this is a shimano one okay so when this presses in it's going to hang out of the frame about 10 millimeters over here and that's because the shimano um holotec 2 cranks which we have one right here they require a 90 millimeter bearing spacing so in order to offset this asymmetry we need to stick out on that side that way it's 90 millimeters across here on the center line of the bicycle when somebody's fitting one of our one piece bottom brackets they want to they usually ask oh i'm running di2 is there going to be clearance for my cables and all that kind of stuff there is not a bb right bicycle out there that is going to give you any problem with clearance with the one piece bottom bracket these newer style bikes that are what's called future proof they came out just a couple years ago there is a passageway all the way around the bottom bracket shell you can see in here it's actually a tube that's completely closed inside so the bottom brackets the the bottom bracket module will be completely isolated from the interior of the bike so no problem with k hydraulic line for the rear caliper nothing like that seatpost battery no problem once again perfectly clear on all bb ride bikes one other thing about bb right it comes in two flavors it comes in the cervelo flavor which we're so familiar with and then some of you guys might notice that there is a factor flavor of bb right as well and the reason for this is factor does bb right a little bit differently the diameter is a slightly larger and the offset of the bearings is actually a millimeter different on factor bikes and you can put any crank you want in this bike we have a bottom bracket to fit the shimano crank uh praxis m30 dub of course the ever popular dub and uh camp ignolo you could put this easton ec90 crank in there no problem with one of our xcel bottom brackets so we have bb right covered often people say is bb right a good system bb right is an excellent system i know there are a lot of critics out there of bb wright don't listen to them they don't know what they're talking about bb right is an excellent system and what i like about it the most is that it gives you the maximum amount of like 386 evo type you know bringing this bearing all the way over to this side for maximum stiffness but it doesn't come out far on this side like a bb 386 evo bike could be about that wide like that and that can start to encroach on some things over here and cause some fit issues at times with some different power meters bb right gives you a nice clearance over on this side so bb right excellent to run power
